CANYON, TEXAS -- Construction on the overpass from eastbound US 60 to northbound US 87 in Canyon has been completed, the Texas Department of Transportation said.
The project, which caused congested traffic, was expected to take 55-60 days but TxDOT said the project was completed in just 43 days.
Temporary signal lights that were installed on US 87 in and out of Canyon will be removed and the concrete median on US 87 will be restored, TxDOT said.
Construction work is slated to continue on the access road to westbound US 60 underneath the new overpass. That project is expected to be complete in mid-November.
