OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - State Treasurer Ken Miller says total revenue collections for Oklahoma in October are nine percent higher than October 2011 and show continued improvement in the state's economy.
Miller said Monday that the state collected $913.47 million in October - an increase of almost $75.5 million from October a year ago.
Miller says personal income taxes for the month were $288 million, up $48.4 million from last year. Sales tax collections rose by $12.95 million to $337.2 million and motor vehicle taxes rose nearly 12 percent to $58.3 million for the month.
Miller says gross production taxes on oil and natural gas fell by almost 5 percent to about $63.4 million in October- but he notes that the amount is a $10.3 million increase from September.
