$378,000 in marijuana found underneath RV on I-40

CONWAY, TEXAS -- Seventy pounds of marijuana, totaling more than $378,000, was seized during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Carson County late Wednesday evening, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

DPS said a Trooper stopped at 2000 Monarch RV about one miles east of Conway on I-40 at about 11:11 p.m., Wednesday.

During the stop, consent to search the vehicle was granted. Seventy pounds of marijuana was found inside of a snow boarding grind ramp that was underneath the RV.

The drugs were being transported from Santa Rosa, Calif., to Tennessee, DPS said.

The driver, 21-year-old Joseph L. Stumph of Cave City, Ky., and passengers Taylor W. Cockerel of Bowling Green, Ky., and Daniel J. Flowers of Santa Rosa, Calif., were all arrested for Possession of Marijuana.
