Police: Man robs Amarillo convenience store armed with pistol

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo police are investigating a convenience store robbery early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened, according to police, at the Toot'n Totum in the 3600 block of South Washington at about 3:40 a.m., Wednesday.

Police said a white male, wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants approached the convenience store counter, waved a pistol and demanded cash. The suspect was also wearing a ski mask covering his face and what appeared to be white socks covering his hands.

An unknown amount of cash was taken from the cash register.

The suspect left on foot, south from the front doors, police said.

No injuries were reported and the robbery remains under investigation.
