AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is helping a nonprofit children's advocacy group launch a campaign to raise awareness about sexual abuse of children.
Abbott joins members of the Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas in Austin on Monday to launch the awareness-raising effort.
On Friday, Abbott joined U.S. Sen. John Cornyn to support enactment of a federal law they say will help protect Texas children. He says the legislation, if passed, would enhance law enforcement's ability to crack down on child predators.
