AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Horse racing fans and gamblers are in luck! Saddle Brook Jockey Club is finally opening up their doors to the public Friday.

Saddle Brook Jockey Club is a horse racing facility located in southwest Amarillo at 4332 SW 45th Ave. People will be able to watch horse races from tracks across the nation and place bets on the races. This is the first time that people in this area are able to legally wager on horse racing.

A portion of every dollar wagered here will be going towards helping horse racing in Texas. It is estimated that Saddle Brook Jockey Club will contribute more than $500,000 a year to Texas racing.

They will be opening their doors Friday at 11a.m. and will be broadcasting races from 18 different tracks across the country.
