PAMPA, TEXAS -- Family and friends cheered on a very special group of kids at a basketball game in Pampa.

Wheel Times, a non-profit organization that serves children with physical disabilities, was started by Brad Pingel in 2011. The organization, which relies on donations and volunteers, holds various organized sporting events throughout the year.

Held in the Pampa High School gym, players were able to play a basketball game, complete with a referee and scoreboard. For many of the kids in the league, this was the first opportunity to play an organized sport.

Wheel Times hopes to broaden its range of sports in the future, so that all children will have a chance to try the sport they've always wanted to play.
