AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two men robbed an Amarillo hotel on Soncy late Thursday night.
Employees at the hotel in the 2300 block of Soncy Road told Amarillo police that one man entered the lobby of the hotel to inquire about room rates. When the clerk told him the rate, the man left and returned with a second man. Both men entered through the security door into the lobby.
The clerk told police that as they were discussing payment, one of the men showed a handgun and told the employee to give him all of the money. The clerk opened the register and gave the men the entire contents of the drawer, police said.
After the clerk emptied the drawer, both men left the hotel.
Only one man was armed. The armed robber is described as a tall, slim, white male. He was wearing a coat with Dallas Cowboys colors or designs, police said.
The second man is described as slim, tall, white male with blonde hair. He was seen wearing a tan hooded coat with the hood cinched around his face.
No was injured at the time of the robbery, police said.
There have been no arrests at this time.
