Man robs dowtown Amarillo convenience store

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Wednesday morning Amarillo Police Officers responded to a robbery call at 8zero1 Convenience Store at 1003 N. Fillmore.

Employees told police that a Hispanic man in his early 20s had entered the store and came up to the register.

The man pointed a pistol at an employee and demanded the money from the register. The handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect ran from the store.

He was last seen running north from the convenience store, according to a news release from Amarillo Police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" with a thin build. He was wearing a ski mask, blue jacket, blue and dark green shirt and blue jeans.

At this time, no arrests have been made in the case. APD is still investigating the robbery.
