AMARILLO, TEXAS -- AAA Fuel Gauge Report indicates that prices at the pump are down two cents in Amarillo. This report indicates that gas prices in Amarillo are much lower than state average which currently sits at $3.16 per gallon. The state average is also 16 cents below the national average.
The newest reports indicate that the state average price is down from last year's average price which was $3.25 per gallon.
AAA reports that the start of the year has had very stable fuel prices which was not like last year with large price swings.
A survey reports that gas prices in El Paso are currently the cheapest in the state, coming in at an average of $2.95 per gallon. While the most expensive gas can be found in Dallas at an average of $3.20 per gallon.
