Several people arrested in Amarillo I-40 crash

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Several people have been arrested following a hit and run crash on I-40 Saturday night.

The Amarillo Police Department said they were called at 10:22 p.m. to I-40 and Avondale, westbound proper, on a major vehicle crash. Witnesses reported to police one of the vehicles involved had overturned, and the suspect vehicle attempted to flee the scene.

The victim, 28-year old Kyle Brown, was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup, and was struck by the suspect vehicle causing it to overturn. The suspect vehicle, a 2011 Honda Accord, continued westbound on I-40 for a short distance, where the occupants fled on foot. The occupants were located near the intersection of Olsen and Anna and taken into custody. The driver of the Accord, 27-year old Le Sang, was arrested for Intoxication Assault. The other two occupants of the vehicle were arrested of Public Intoxication.

Brown was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
