Dalhart Police say they are submitting evidence today to the Dallam County District Attorney for potential animal cruelty charges against a Dalhart Woman.

Dozens of Karrie Calfy’s animals and her three children were removed from her Dalhart home January 15th.

Lieutenant Mike Ford of the Dalhart Police Department says the prosecutor will determine how many if any animal cruelty charges will be filed against Calfy.

In an inrelated case, The Dallam County Justice of the Peace determined one of the seven horses that had been taken from Calfy by County authorities would be returned to her.

A Dallam County Deputy says charges could be filed against her in that case next week.
