DUMAS, TEXAS -- The City of Dumas has a number of projects underway in their business park. The land was set aside to help lure businesses interested in the Dumas economic climate.

This week the Dumas Economic Development Corporation presented their business outlook to the Moore County Commission. Construction on the Amarillo College Career and Technical Training Center is underway at the park, but they’ve also planned a second Success Center builsing and a new DEDC office building that will be built next to AC.

Former State Legislator David Swinford is on the board of the DEDC. "We have about 53 acres of property there, " he says, "and what we do with that, if somebody wants to come to town, we’ll give them the land and help them do some things."

Current Dumas projects include Sunshine Aviation, a clothing store chain and a Danish Wind Academy.
