AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are searching for a man who they say robbed an Amarillo convenience store armed with a knife early Wednesday morning.

The robbery, according to police, happened in the 3600 block of Northeast 24th just after 1:00 a.m., Wednesday.

Police said two employees were working inside the store when a man walked behind the counter and displayed a knife. The knife was described as having a silver three-to-dour inch blade.

The man then demanded money from the register in addition to the contents of the employees' pockets, police said.
