AMARILLO, TEXAS -- One person sits behind bars after being involved in a motorcycle accident.

They say a motorcycle, driven by 49-year old Juan Ricon, was rear-ended by a 2002 Chevy Impala.

Rincon was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Impala, 26-year old Rafael Monteagudo fled the scene on foot.

However, officers later located him and brought him back to the scene.

He was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail for intoxicated assault and failure to stop and render aid.
