Great news from the High Plains Food Bank - $19,000 was donated as part of the Great Turkey Drop.

More than 200 turkeys were also donated as part of the drive, just in time for the Thanksgiving season, the food bank said.

Last Friday, Amarillo residents were able to donate money and frozen turkeys at any of the four Amarillo Walmart locations and the KVII downtown studios.

Turkey donations and monetary donations can still be donated to the food bank. Click here for more information.
