AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross has named a new Executive Director.
Steve Pair will start in the position, effective Nov. 26.
The position had been vacant since July of this year when Chris Knight resigned.
"I am excited to confirm that I have accepted the Executive Director position for the Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross," Pair said. "I feel really grateful to have the opportunity to work for an organization that does such important work throughout the entire Texas Panhandle."
Pair leaves his position as Director of Communications for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. He was previously the News Director for KVII-TV.
"I look forward to meeting the staff, as well as all of the volunteers and supporters who make the mission of the American Red Cross possible," Pair said. "I officially begin on Nov. 26 and look forward to talking more about the future of the chapter then."
