AMARILLO, TEXAS -- No one showed up last night when Canyon City Commissioners held the second and final public hearing on their tax increase proposal.

City Manager Randy Criswell told ProNews 7 he will now put together an 11.2 million dollar budget the Commission will vote on on Sept. 14.

Criswell says the rate being considered will mean taxes will go up a little more than 18 dollars a year for the average Canyon home.
