The West Texas A&M football program continues to receive recognition for its fine 2012 season.
The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) has named Buffaloes Don Carthel Division II Region 4 coach of the year. The Buffaloes are currently 12-2 and are preparing to meet Winston-Salem St. University in the Division II National Semi Finals. The Rams coach Connell Maynor named the Region 2 coach of the year, so Saturday's big game will feature two of the top five Division II coaches in America.
The 2012 regional coach of the year winners will be recognized at the AFCA coach of the year dinner at the 2013 AFCA convention in Nashville Tennessee. The dinner is scheduled for Tuesday January 8th.
