BUSHLAND, TEXAS -- A child was transported to the hospital Thursday afternoon after authorities said a pickup rear-ended a Bushland ISD school bus.
At about 4 p.m., Thursday, police said the bus was slowing down with its amber warning lights on when a Dodge Ram hit the back of the bus. The pickup, according to authorities on scene, was driven a Bushland High School student.
Police said the bus was filled to capacity with children from Bushland.
At least one child, according to police, suffered minor head injuries. That child was transported to the hospital by a relative.
An investigation is being launched into the crash, authorities said.
