AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 19-year-old Amarillo teenager was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Domestic Violence and theft of a firearm, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

Tyus Aztec Treymayne Crain, 19, was booked into the Randall County Jail after police responded to an apartment in the 3300 block of Eddy at about 1:35 a.m., Thursday on a report of a woman being held against her will.

Officers had received information that the suspect had fired the gun from the balcony earlier in the evening and the suspect was asleep, police said.

Police spoke to the woman who had reportedly been held against her will. She told police she tried to leave the apartment earlier but the man, described as her boyfriend, pointed a handgun at her and wouldn't let her leave.

Police entered the apartment and found the door to the room the suspect was in to be locked.

A 20-year-old man, Devante Marquis Roberts, was found asleep on the bathroom floor. He was arrested for Minor Consuming Alcohol.

With assistance from SWAT, police entered the bedroom and took the sleeping suspect, Crain, into custody.
