AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Another Chance House opened their doors to veterans to come and spend their Christmas day.

There was plenty of food and drinks to go around and countless veterans came to spend their holiday with the organization. They were open for those who weren't able to spend the holidays with their family.

"There are a lot of men who aren't welcome in their families anymore because of the mistakes they have made and so yes another chance house is a family place," said Ellen Robertson Green. "They're here for each other and they keep each other moving toward being a productive member of society."

Another Chance House is a place is a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter and permanent, low-income rental housing to homeless males. For the veterans that come back after serving our country, they provide a lot of support and guidance to help them adjust in civilian life.

"Three years ago, I was at the bottom. I was ready to commit suicide," said veteran Bill Fly. He explains how everyone has been a great support system for him and he is in a much better place is he today than he was three years ago. "I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for another chance house."
