AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Faith City Ministries added beds and blankets to its list of needs, as Christmas day snowfall caused an increase in traffic around local shelters in Amarillo.

The shelter provides three meals a day and a hot shower to those looking to stay warm this season. The cold temperatures brought in men, women and children looking for a place to escape the winter cold.

Through donations, Faith City Ministries also provides coats, gloves and boots to the less fortunate. They created a clothing store complete with winter necessities, such as socks and blankets. The clothing store is free of charge.

Faith City Ministries encourages the homeless residents of Amarillo to take advantage of the resources offered, especially during the winter months.
