AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Fire Department responded to house fire in the 100 block of North East 12th Sunday afternoon.
The fire was visible from the front door and window of the house.
Firefighters were on the scene and contained the fire to the front of the house.
Most of the damage was to the front portion of the house, with heat and smoke damage throughout the residence for an estimated $20,000 worth of damage, according to a news release from Amarillo Fire Department.
Fire Marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross responded to the scene and has assisted the occupants of the house.
