Man robs Amarillo convenience store

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Tuesday night at approximately 2:45 a.m. Amarillo Police officers responded to the 1900 block of south Bell for a panic alarm.

When officers arrived, the clerk told police that the store had just been robbed.

According to the clerk, a hispanic male wearing a dark top, beanie, dark jeans, a striped shirt and a rag tied around his face. The man walked up to the clerk with his hands in his pockets as if he had a weapon. The clerk then set the register on the counter and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then left the store on foot. No vehicle was seen and no injuries were reported.
