CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Casper, Wyo., police arrested two members of the New Mexico Stars professional indoor football team after a member of the Wyoming Cavalry team said they punched him after the game. Police say Darius Marshall and Devin Wilson are accused of punching Wyoming linebacker Ross Cochran in the head Friday as he was leaving the Casper Events Center and kicking him in the side when he was on the ground.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The president of Sandia National Laboratories earned $1.3 million in total compensation this year. The Albuquerque Journal reports that one quarter of Paul Hommert's salary comes from base pay, with the rest coming in the form of performance bonuses and the accrued value of a pension benefit that will be paid on retirement.
NAGEEZI, N.M. (AP) - The U.S. Mint is holding a special ceremony Thursday to unveil a quarter commemorating the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in northwestern New Mexico. Nearly 200 school children from the region are set to join officials from the mint and the National Park Service to mark the special quarter's release during National Park Week.
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Creators of the MTV show "The Real World" are holding auditions in Las Cruces. The longest running TV reality series will hold the casting call tomorrow at the Game Sports Bar and Grill for the show's 28th season. The show's producers say they're looking for characters with strong temperaments and who are outspoken.
