AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Combining art with technology is what a few fourth grade students got to do Monday night.
Some 35 GT fourth grade students from the Tascosa Cluster were finishing up a four-week enrichment course where they had the chance to make their own claymation movies. After writing storylines and creating their own characters out of clay, students used cameras, editing software, and even a make-shift "green screen" to make their flick.
"This helps with out students to help point them in a direction that allows them to use their creativity in a different format," said one of the instructors Zoe Lowrance. "A lot of them are really great writers, a lot of them are really great storytellers and this lets them use both of these skills at one time."
After the kids finished their movies Monday evening, each of them loaded them on a flashdrive to take home and show off to their parents.
