Happy JesusWeen! That's what one group will be saying on October, 31 this year.
According to the website, www.jesusween.com, Halloween is a day to celebrate ungodly images and evil characters, so they are promoting a faith-based alternative to the holiday.
The nonprofit organization, also known as JesusWin, is asking Christians to dress in white and hand out Bibles and other Christian gifts instead of candy to trick-or-treaters.
Those who are going door-to-door are being asked to share the message of Christianity, instead of asking for candy.
So why the name JesusWeen?
According to its website, "The dictionary meaning of Ween is to expect, believe or think. We therefore see October 31st as a day to expect a gift of salvation and re-think receiving Jesus."
What do you think about the idea of a JesusWeen holiday instead of Halloween? Which one do you plan on participating in this year?
