OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Candidates for Congress, the Legislature and other elective positions have just one more day to get their names on this year's election ballots.

The three-day candidate filing resumed Friday at the State Capitol for this year's round of elections. After two days of filing, 229 candidates have turned in their election paperwork to officials at the State Election Board. Filing ends at 5 p.m.

Nine candidates have filed so far for eastern Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District. U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, the lone Democrat in the state's congressional delegation, is stepping down after four two-year terms.

Also on the ballot will be all 101 members of the state House and half of the 48-member Senate. Two seats on the three-member Oklahoma Corporation Commission will also be on the statewide election ballot.
