There's a lot of focus being put on pets this weekend as the big Pet-A-Thon adoptiong event takes place at the Civic Center with hopes of finding homes for about 80 pets.

For people getting a new pet or for those pet owners who already have a favorite animal running around their house, the Pet Poison Helpline is making it easier to access their extensive databases and toxicity information with a new iPhone application and on their new mobile enabled website.

By putting this information at the fingertips of thousands of pet owners and veterinarians, Pet Poison Helpline is hopeful that even more pets' lives will be saved during 2012 and beyond.

If you have a smart phone, you can add Pet Poison Helpline's mobile app to your home screen for pet safety tips and information at your fingertips. It can be downloaded from ITunes for only 99 cents.
