Lock down about 10 minutes

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Bonham Middle School was locked down for about ten minutes today.
A spokesperson for the school district told Pronews 7 they received a call from the Amarillo Police Department just after noon, requesting the school be locked down. Police say they were working a health services call a couple of blocks away and made the request for safety reasons. The police department stressed that the kids were never in harms way.
The spokesperson for the district said that parents would be notified of the event.
