AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Northwest Texas Hospital held a luncheon for a few future nurses that just finished up their ten week externship program.

The program had five senior level nursing students this year  who learned the skills, leadership and knowledge from actual RNs.

The program is designed to give the students a hands on experience in actual hospital situations.

Future nurse, Haley Pletcher, said Northwest did a great job and it was a very educational experience.
