Child drowns in Rio Grande

LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO -- New Mexico officials recorded a drowning over the weekend. Liesha Quinonez, 7, died swimming with her family in a park 15 miles north of Las Cruces.

State police say the girl bobbed in the water and vanished while with her family in the Rio Grande.

Her body was recovered Saturday night.
