CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Clovis police say information gathered from a 13-year-old led to the arrests of a mother and father on drug charges.

Investigators from Clovis police and the Curry County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant April 23 on a residence.

During the search, authorities found a bag and identified its contents as methamphetamine.

While searching, detectives also found what they described as numerous items used to consume methamphetamine.

Authorities arrested Danny and Samantha Alcala. They are charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, and child endangerment.

The 13-year-old along with his siblings, ages 4 and 6, were placed with Children, Youth and Families.
