Four Price- 11,885 votes; Abel Bozquez- 3,179 votes
(R) Four Price projected winner of District 87, State Rep. seat
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Republican Four Price routed Democratic contender Abel Bozquez for District 87's vacated State Representative seat with 75.86% percent (11,885 votes) compared to Bozquez's 20.29% percent (3,179 votes). Those numbers reflect 24 of 52 precincts reporting with 46.15% of the votes in.
"I'm watching. The race the numbers aren't changing, so we're waiting. There's still some more time left, so we're waiting," said Bozquez.
Libertarian James A. Hudspeth, garnered 3.84% percent of the vote.
"During this election cycle I've gotten to know Four, he's a good man and a friend, and I have every confidence in him as a Representative. I'd like to know what I could do if I had more money for the campaign," said Hudspeth.
Returns were still coming in, and results could change. We hope to have a statement from Four Price shortly.
