AMARILLO, TX -- The Lone Star Ballet is preparing for one of their biggest productions of the year -- The Nutcracker.
The Nutcracker is in its 39th year and each year families can expect the same amount of fun with a new twist.
"We're very excited because we have some new cast members, new characters, new costumes, new choreography, and every year we try to update it just a little bit to make it more fun for the audience. Audiences like to come and see us, so we entice them to come back each year," said Vicki McLean, Lone Star Ballet Dance Director.
Mclean says this year they have 165 people in their cast -- the biggest the production has ever had.
Opening night is Friday December 10 at 8 p.m.
Performances on December 11 will be at 3 and 8 p.m., and 2 and 6 p.m. on December 12.
