CLOVIS, N.M. -- The Clovis Police Department is teaming up with Watson Motor to make Christmas possible for area kids.

The pair are in need of donations for this year's Shop with a Cop program. Last year the program was able to provide a Christmas for 223 children. The Shop with a Cop program raised over $22,000, the kids were given a $100 gift card and got to purchase the items they wanted. The Clovis Police Department said this program provides a Christmas for kids who might not have a Christmas otherwise.

To help raise funds, the department will be hosing their Dollars for Donuts on December 10th. The event will start at 6:30 in the morning at Daylight Donuts in Clovis.

To make this possible again, the Clovis Police Department is asking for monetary donations, no donation will be refused. If you choose to donate, please make checks or money orders payable to Fraternal Order of Police. Anyone wishing to give or with any questions is being asked to call Officer Joshua Parkin at (575) 763-9427 or email jparkin@cityofclovis.org.
