AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police have arrested a man after they caught him getting out of a stolen car.

An officer was sent to the 4300 block of S. Bonham just after 3:30 Wednesday morning. It was reported that a Chevrolet Suburban was warming up in the driveway and was stolen. Another officer remembered that a different stolen car had been found in the 2300 block of S. Taylor. He was in the area and saw the Suburban pulling into the driveway at 2103 S. Polk. The report says the driver got out and ran north, but the officer lost him under the I-40 overpass. The suspect was eventually found hiding in vegetation in the middle of the interchange.

Randall Lee Davis was taken into custody and booked into the Potter County Jail. He's charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest/detention, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
