AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Big announcement for the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
The new addition to that center will be named the Harold and Joyce Courson clinic.
The expanded 110,000 square foot treatment center will be located between the original Harrington Cancer Center and BSA Hospital.
Harold and Joyce Courson have both been involved with the cancer center for 30 years.
And they have donated $1,000,000 toward the construction of the new center.
That rounds out the total at $6,000,000 in donations for the building so far.
"It looks like they've raised 25% of this $25,000,000 goal and it's just amazing we could get it done this quick and we need to continue to go forward," said Harold Courson.
Harrington Cancer Center CEO Paul Hancock told us he plans to break ground when the half-way goal is reached, which he hopes is sometime this year.
