One newspaper reports a grand jury date has been set, while we checked today and were told something else

The case of the Colorado Senator who caused a fatal accident near Channing last month, is said to go before a grand jury next month. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Gabriel Medrano told the Denver Post that the case was scheduled for this week, but has now been postponed for a month. However, Medrano told Pronews 7 on Tuesday, that the case is still under investigation.
We also spoke with the 69th District Attorney's office which said they still haven't received the case.
On December 26, Sen. Suzanne Williams drove onto the wrong side of the road directly toward the Gomez family vehicle. The two vehicles collided head-on, Brianna Gomez, of Amarillo, was seven months pregnant and was killed in that wreck. Doctors delivered her premature son, Curran Gomez, who survived. Williams' son Todd, was seriously injured in the crash after he was ejected along with one of his sons.
Three passengers in Williams vehicle were not wearing seat belts. According to a preliminary crash report, the senator picked up her 3-year-old grandson from the road after he was ejected and put him in a child safety seat in her car.
Williams' attorney David Lane told the Denver Post that he had not been in contact with Hartley County District Attorney David Green and hadn't heard that the grand jury had been postponed.
