AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Three Amarillo teenagers have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries that happened last weekend.
Amarillo Police took three teenagers into custody early Sunday morning after finding suspicious electronic items in the vehicle they were driving. Additionally, a small caliber semiautomatic handgun, a rifle, more loose electronics, and alcohol was found in the vehicle.
It was determined the three teens had been committing auto burglaries throughout the Rolling Hills Addition. As many as 15 vehicles had been either burglarized of pilfered through, police said.
All three teens, according to police, have detailed confessions admitting to the burglaries. A 19-year-old male was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on two counts of theft of a firearm and 10 counts of theft from a vehicle. Two juveniles were booked into the Youth Center of the High plains on the same charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
