Panhandle Highlights: News from around the Panhandle

Each weekday morning, Pronews 7 will be on the lookout for news and events in your town! Here are today's headlines:

CLOVIS
According to the Clovis News Journal, a grassfire on Saturday on the Curry and Quay County Line burned around 25,000 acres. Five structures were burned and no injuries were reported.

PORTALES
Residents came out in full force for Hertiage Days, according to Portales News Tribune. This is the 27th year for the event which includes a run and music among other activities.

GUYMON
City and County officials participated in a mock disaster drill, The Guymon Daily Herald reports.  During the drill, real time scenarios happened to help make sure officials would be prepared if a disaster actually happened.
 
PAMPA
The old Pampa Regional Medical Center needs about $6 to 7 million to be purchased and renovated, The Pampa News reports. The hospital has 115 beds.
