AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The students and staff of Margaret Wills Elementary celebrated their second year as a "No Excuses University" campus.

Wills is one of 116 schools across the nation that participate in this program to make sure all of its kids are fully prepared for college with absolutely "no" excuses.

Complete with corn dogs and snacks, it was a fun event for parents and students to get pumped up about learning.

"This is an exciting even where we also tie in ACE, because we are an ACE campus, so we have representatives here from WT and they are here to help us kick off this event and celebrate the fact that we are preparing all of the children of Margaret Wills Elementary to go to college," said Wills Principal Karen Atkinson.

Atkinson also told us, to be a part of "No Excuses", you have to apply as a campus every year, and her school definitely plans to continue that tradition.
