ESPN College GameDay Announcer Lee Corso shocked- and humored- fellow analysts and fans Saturday when he unexpectedly spouted an expletive as he was concluding the GameDay show before the Houston v. SMU game.

Nine-time Olympic Gold Medallist, Houston Alum and Guest Picker Carl Lewis picked the Cougars to win over the Mustangs.  In response, Corso picked up an SMU megaphone to indicate he was picking the Mustangs to upset Houston and said, "Ah, ---- it."

Corso then put on the headgear for Shasta, the Houston mascot.

Corso's Gameday colleagues, Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, appeared to be entertained as they laughed and made jokes about the comment.

Most would agree it is fair to say Corso's call of SMU beating its Conference USA rival was loud and clear.

Half an hour later during a break in the action of ESPN's coverage of Michigan's win over Nebraska, the network aired Corso reading a statement of apology.

"Earlier today on College GameDay, I used an expletive I shouldn't have," Corso said.  "I apologize and promise it won't happen again."

The Houston Cougars won the game 37-7, remaining one of the nation's two unbeaten teams.
