AMARILLO, TEXAS -- With fire season approaching, the Randall County Fire Department is doing its best to help you get ready.

It has a program called "Ready, Set, Go".

You can have firefighters come out and teach you the right plan to have in place in case a wildfire breaks out.

Ready, take personal responsibility and prepare long before the threat exists.

Set, pack your vehicle with your emergency items and stay aware of your local media, and Go, follow your action plan and leave early.

"We will show you how to create a defensible space around your home by cleaning brush away, how to use fire resistant landscaping and utilize fire safe construction measure when possible," said Randall County Fire Chief, James Amerson.

If you live in rural Randall County and are interested "Ready, Set, Go", you can call Randall County fire at 358-9959.
