AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A former Amarillo elementary school teacher has been indicted by a Randall County Grand Jury on two counts of indecency with a child.
Julie Ann Moore, 34, allegedly sexted a 15-year-old boy more than 100 times, a search warrant affidavit obtained by Pronews 7 said. Additionally, Moore is accused of having a sexual relationship with the boy and two other Amarillo High School students.
Moore was a third grade teacher at Sanborn Elementary School. She was placed on paid administrative leave before resigning in December.
Texas Rangers along with the Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the matter for about a month.
Indecency with a child is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. It is a second-degree felony.
