AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Just in case you are still looking for a good spring break idea -- there are still several days to go -- why not consider a "staycation"?

The Ambassador Hotel tells us it is offering spring break packages for families in the Panhandle.

It says says each package comes with goodies both children and parents will enjoy.

Chris Clark, the director of sales at the Ambassador, says his people have talked with many local businesses to give families the best deals possible.

"We are offering something for the families that come down to Amarillo for spring break to kind of get a discounted rate--even the locals," said Clark.  "We want to give them a package that the kids actually really enjoy with fun toys and goodies and coke and candy and just fun stuff for the kinds to enjoy."
