The federal grand jury out of Lubbock indicted former Jet Blue captain, Clayton Osbon after his actions forced an emergency landing in Amarillo back on March 27.
The 49 year old pilot has been charged with one count of interfering with a flight crew as the plane was heading from New York City to Las Vegas.
The indictment reads that he moved through the aircraft and was disruptive, so much so that he had to be forcibly restrained from re-entering the cockpit.
U.S. District Judge Mary Lou Robinson has ordered osbon to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine his competency.
