CANYON, TEXAS -- A former President of the United States is set to make an appearance at West Texas A&M University tonight.

President Bill Clinton will be speaking at the University as part of its Distinguished Lecture Series. The public is invited to attend, free of charge, to the event. The presentation begins tonight at the First United Bank Center at 8:00. Doors open at 7:30.

Those attending the event are encouraged to bring a jar of peanut butter to benefit the Snack Pak 4 Kids Program.

The purpose of WT's Distinguished Lecture series is to inspire and enlighten students, faculty and the community.

President Clinton is expected to discuss the William J. Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.

WTAMU made a donation to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa. in an effort to help raise funds to finish the memorial for the 40 people who lose their lives in the crash on September 11.
