AMARILLO, TEXAS -- It's a yearly rite of passage for swimmers of all ages... The city pools open for the season this weekend, even though some students are still in class for a few more days.
It's a chance to cool off over the next couple days.
Saturday at noon, Southeast, Southwest and Thompson Park pools open their doors.
Southeast Park will stay open all summer but Southwest and Thompson Park pools will close next week and reopen on Sunday, June 3.
